CARMEL BEACH TRIP & OUR FAVORITE PLACES IN THE LITTLE TOWN BY THE SEA

If you've followed me and my famliy happenings for awhile you know that we always try to visit our favorite little beach Carmel once a year. It's become a family tradition and one we love. 

This past weekend we decided to kick the summer off with a little trip to the beach and spend some much needed time together as a family. It wasn't just any trip though it was Remy's first beach trip and we are already planning our next one. 

Some things I love about Carmel's beach off Ocean Avenue {not a clue if there is a correlation with the yellowcard song} is that it is always the perfect time to go, there is always a place on the beach for anyone and the sand is clean {with kiddos thats important to me}. 

We typically get there around 10 am every time we go and though finding a parking spot can be a challenge people always seem to be coming and going throughout the whole day you really can't have a bed spot when parking either. 

After spending a few hours playing on the beach and enjoying the ocean we pack up our beach fun and head up the street to eat at the only family friendly place in town for lunch, 400 Degrees Gourmet Burgers. The burgers and chicken strips are so good here and they have the yummiest secret sauce. 

After grabbing some lunch we usually wander around town some more; we always stop at the candy shop Lula's Chocolates and Kayden always has to go into our favorite toy shop Thinker Toys. We also usually grab Toasty a pup treat from Diggity Dog but we couldn't find it this time. And of course we ALWAYS have to stop at Carmel Bakery for my favorite iced coffee, and ice cream for Kayden and a Canoli for Greg. 

Next time we go we are hoping to stay a few nights so we can play at the beach for a few days and maybe even bring Toasty along. I hope you all enjoyed my Carmel post!
