THE CONTAINER STORE x KONMARI COLLECTION
This months project was well over due and it was mainly focused on Greg’s side of the closet. The least of his worries is if his closet is organized but I know how much of a stress relief it can be for someone to have space where it’s easy to find what you need.
The Container Store x KonMari collection unites the storage and organization mastery of The Container Store with the tidy and joyful ethos of Marie Kondo. I love everything she designed from their bamboo closet collection.
I started with emptying everything out and we got rid of a lot that he didn’t wear, we thanked it and parted ways. I put all of his shirts on the bamboo hangers and was able to color code everything which will make putting it all away easier too. To tie up the mess on the top shelf of the closet I used the Shoji Bamboo Bins. After organizing it all I showed him the closet and he was blown away. It is a far more sophisticated look now. He also loved the Stacking Slatted Wood Shoe Shelf to hold the Container Store Shoes bins we got him last year.
After completing Greg’s closet, I got to work on my sweater drawers, they needed a lot of help.
I decided to use the deep drawer dividers to get this project done. I used the Kon Mari method to fold all of the sweaters too and it made it so much easier to find the exact sweater I was looking for; I don’t know why I hadn’t used this method before. The results are amazing and I love the dividers! You can see my before and after below.
There are so many other great products from her collection that we are going to be using throughout our home like the Hikidashi Medium Organizer Boxes and the beautiful linen jewelry box. This collection is beautiful, timeless and functional!
