THE HOME EDIT FRIDGE COLLECTION AT THE CONTAINER STORE
The most used appliance in our home has to be the fridge and it’s a mess! We didn’t really have a system for it or our freezer so when I saw The Home Edits Fridge Collection at The Container Store I knew exactly what I wanted to organize our fridge with.
First - I took EVERYTHING out of the fridge to do our monthly deep cleaning. I like to use a mixture of dawn dish soap and vinegar to clean it all up. Before I put anything back I make sure everything in the fridge isn’t past it’s expiration date.
Second - I figured out my zones; condiments, produce, beverages and meats. I also wanted to make sure I had a spot for our dinner meals and leftovers.
Third - I started emptying all of my fruits and veggies into their bins from the home edit. I made sure to leave a spot on the side of the turntable that held my condiments for either our dinner meals or leftovers we make.
Fourth - The rest was super easy to figure out since there is only one place our milk can go, so placing the bins was a simple task.

A few things I LOVE about these bins is you can take the tray in the bin out if you want to wash all of your produce and then place them back in the bin. The second thing I love is they ALL have lids so I know no outside elements are going to get into them. And lastly it makes the fridge nice and tidy!
Our freezer I think was the worst. Everything was stacked on top of each other and being pushed around. It’s amazing what 3 bins can do to fix a space! On the top level, I wanted to make two zones, one for our breakfast and then the other for our desserts. The bin I used was The Home Edit Divided freezer bin {with the divider out} On the bottom and I used iDesigns medium fridge bin to put all of our ice in. The zones I made in the freezer were Breakfast, Desserts, & frozen lunch/dinner items at the bottom.
Nothing like a good before & after of the space! This will make our grocery shopping so much easier now that we can see exactly what we need and will help us eat the healthier food we forget about sometimes.
